We are currently hiring a Janitorial / Custodial Associate (also known as Custodian, Cleaner, Janitorial Technician, Facilities Associate, or Environmental Services Associate) to support the cleanliness, safety, and daily operations of our client facilities.
This role is essential to ensuring a healthy, professional, and welcoming environment for the people we serve.
Primary Job Functions | Core Responsibilities
Perform routine janitorial, custodial, and cleaning services for assigned client locations.
Floor care, including mopping, vacuuming, dust mopping, spot cleaning, and floor buffing
Daily restroom cleaning and sanitizing, restocking paper products, and soap
Trash removal, surface cleaning, wall washing, dusting, and window cleaning
Maintain high standards of sanitation, hygiene, and infection control
Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
Maintain accurate timekeeping, attendance, and punctuality
Participate in required in-service training and safety training
Follow all OSHA, safety, and facility procedures
Identify and report maintenance issues and safety hazards
Submit maintenance requests and complete monthly supply inventory
Requisition and track janitorial and custodial supplies
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Associate Director / Supervisor
Qualifications | Skills | Experience
Previous janitorial, custodial, cleaning, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and infection control
Experience using floor buffers, vacuums, and janitorial equipment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong time management, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Criminal history must meet Wabash Center standards and applicable regulations
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift to 50 pounds
Ability to perform repetitive motions and remain active for extended periods

Schedule & Work Environment
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required
Paid travel time between work locations
Work is performed across up to three different sites (occasional travel between locations)
7 days per week operation, with a typical schedule of 40–45 hours per week
Primary working hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Occasional daytime training sessions and staff meetings are required
Pay: $16-$17 an hour
