Description

'Greg Kuharic: Bethel Pike Pottery Legatee' Exhibition. Every Wednesday to Saturday 14 through August 17. This exhibition features high-fired stoneware by Hoosier potter Greg Kuharic, the first apprentice at Bethel Pike Pottery, which was founded by Alan Patrick and John Peterson in 1966. After operating his own studio for ten years, Greg was Vice President of the 19th & 20th Century Decorative Arts Department at Sotheby’s in NY. He was also one of the appraisers on Antiques Road Show. Kuharic re-ignited his interest in making pots by taking summer sessions at Haystack and Watershed, and working as artist-in-residence at SUNY in NY. Kuharic’s works range from large platters from his senior project at Ball State to his later vegetal forms.
